Tunnel Access.

I'm going to fit some new SPA gauges when I'm back and want to run the new leads and some others down the tunnel.

Can anyone offer any tips for doing this as it's a bugger to get access to.

I was thinking a poke wire coat hanger though tape the cable to it and pull it back.

I also need to get to the screws to get the center panel off how do I get to the ones at the top of the heater controls?

I found getting the top ones off not to be the real pain.
Use a long extension and socket. I used a small round socket wrench as there's not much space.
All done blind, so getting them back on may be a right pain!
I noticed though that those fixings are open slots so you may just have to loosen the nuts, pull the bottom of the insert toward the rear of the car to release the middle bolts, then slide down to release the top 3.

Note, you'll find the heater controls attach to the insert and you'll only just have enough room to get a spanner in at this point to release the 2 nuts that hold this on.

To improve access, remove the screws that hold the bottom 2 sides of the dash to the tunnel.
On mine the screws were hidden by the knee pads. These are held on with 2 nuts which you access from under the car though the front access panel. Having this off might aid running the cables. You can just squeeze a hand between all the pipes.

There's also tunnel access at the rear of the tunnel (for adjusting the handbrake I think). Peel the carpet down and you'll see a small removeable panel. May help pulling cables.

Be prepared for scratched hands and arms and lots of swearing!
