Hi guys. I currently own an E92 M3 but really fancy an M12 or a lotus Exige next.

My question is, what is the noble like to own? Are they reliable? If I were to buy one now, could I expect a joyous owning experience or would it be an expensive love affair of repairs and breakdowns? I ask this as I know how high performance cars can be, especially if they are a few years old.

Who are the noble specialists for servicing and repairs?

I live in South Wales, UK, and don't want to be miles away from the nearest service or repair.

What does the noble compare to the lotus Exige?

Any general info appreciated.

Thanks.

Out of the three the Noble is the least reliable, worst engineered and need the most attention, but it is the best car,

On a track day the Lotus or the M3 will go round and round all day, the Noble will get hot and bothered.

That's kind of what I thought. I don't want a car that I spend more time fixing than driving. I don't have the time or facilities for that.

Best stick with a high volume production car then.

I enjoy tinkering so the noble is perfect for me, beemers are a bit boring as there's nothing to do to them and I've owned a few, lovely cars but every man has his dog has one.
Buy a noble

I spent 3 years with an Elise 111R, steadily modding it to be a fantastic track toy. Had a fantastic time in it but always fancied a Noble and picked mine up today.

From my research, if you get one that's been well looked after (receipts are invaluable for seeing what was ACTUALLY done, as opposed to service stamps), if youre prepared to pull out a spanner from time to time and if you accept the risk of an occasional big bill then a Noble is a step beyond the Lotus experience.

Wonder what I'll be saying in another 3 years ...
