Intermittent boost issue

Only really noticeable after 40 mins or so but sometimes when I put my foot down more noticeable in 5/6 th gear it sometimes boosts to about .8 then sort of splutters down to .5 ish keeping foot down it seems to clear its throat and boosts properly again. Also when very warm what I think is fuel pump noise ( behind passenger seat) whirring noise becomes louder like it's straining. According to previous paperwork fuel pump has been upgraded? Just had big service where nothing obvious could be found so bit lost??
