Tuxman shock settings
Discussion
Hi all
The current Tuxman shock vs exhaust settings got me thinking that there are now quite a number of us running the Tuxman shocks and I was wondering what settings most people are running with on the road after what is now a couple of years of experience with them.
Unfortunately I don't get as much time with the car as I'd like so haven't quite got to settings I'm fully happy with
I'm running a set of what I think are an early set of the version 2 shocks with the slightly higher spring rates than the originals on a 3R with M400 suspension geometry adjustment by Jetstream in case it makes a difference
All thoughts gratefully received - please let me know what settings you are using
Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew , firstly shocks setting are a very personal thing and what works for 1 person can be to soft/hard for somebody else !!! Also tyre pressures and tyre make can also make a difference .
On my Michelincups I run 18psi front and 22 psi rear tyre pressures and on road I run , these are cold pressures .
Front
black nob 8 clicks from soft
Red nob 6 clicks from fully soft
Rear
Black nob 8 clicks from fully soft
Red nob 9 clicks from fully soft .
On track I running fully hard on both settings .
Corner weighting can also make a big difference , if you have not had this done you are best to make sure all the spring platforms are adjusted equally from the top of the shock !! This is important as wrongly adjusted springs can upset the damping effect !!
The rear shocks today are running a higher damp rate if you feel you want the rear stiffer Protech will service and adjust the damping settings for a sensible charge .

Hi Tux
Thanks for the quick response
Intersting settings which I'll look forward to trying at the weekend
Can you confirm which on your shocks the black and red are as the early prototype set you were working with were reversed from standard
So mine are black= bump, red= rebound
Thanks again
