Has anyone had any issues/fines/police attention from funny spacing on plates.

I'm not talking about silly fonts, changing plate size and using the screw cap to make letters just moving the space between letters? Can it be n MOT failure?

I use a sympathetic MOT station that will pass so long as you promise you have properly spaced set too. I now actually leave the proper ones in the car to change should they deem necessary. Never had any attention from the police either, but I guess mine's often mistaken for a Jersey plate. J6OOC (s/b J6 OOC). My proper set has the blue GB badge, so kills two birds for when going abroad.

I've run mine for 7 years like this. Never been stopped for it or even mentioned at an MOT. smile

I got pulled a long time ago because I had to large a space beteen two letters, I got a 7 day ticket to change the plates and get the ticket stamped at an MOT station. I was kindly reminded by the cockey cop that had nothing better to do on a sunday evening that the DVLA had the right to withdraw my plate if I repeat the offence! Apparently a larger space between letters and numbers are not as bad!
