Alpinestars, the colour of your car is stunning and looks much better than the £1m M12! What type of yellow is it?
It's exactly the same as the ad! Just some trick photography by Dan. I can hear your sighs of disappointment from here, but if they can photoshop Kate Moss to look good, why not my Nob . Hey guys! New to the forum. Long time browser though!
I am currently looking at this car, I have been looking these up but there is limited information available on these. I see you guys saying about the ECU upgrades, diff etc.. (Shocked it has open diff as standard btw!) what kind of money are we talking for this work?
I'm trying to judge what would be a fair offer bearing this in mind, so any advice would be great.
This car in yellow to me, is perfection!
Thanks alot

When my diff went years ago it cost me around 4k including new box. This was in the days when you tended to pay top dolla. You might get away with 2k if cutting chassis bar instead of engine out. However. With box out then upgrading box and clutch ontop of the cost for the LSD will mount up. ECU is over 2k. I did think though as this is a 2002 model that it might have MBE already. The diff might take ages to break if at all as it does depend on your driving. I am currently looking at this car, I have been looking these up but there is limited information available on these. My car nearly 9 yrs ago was brought with 12k on it and within two months I blew the diff as the previous owner didn't drive it like it should be driven.

Thanks for your detailed reply! when you say cutting.. I take it this provides the space? Isit then re welded or left out? Any pics of this would be good!
No, the cutting is to remove a bit of the chassis in order to get box out. Chassis part is then welded back into position. This way engine doesn't need to come out. J13ME said:
Is this classed as doing it properly? I would just be a bit concerned.. Surely if you can't get to it with that in place then you cant get to it to weld it up fully?
Think I may give this a miss if this is needed?
A popular mod is to cut out the section of chassis and then fashion the replacement strut with bolts so that retrospective jobs can be done easily by unbolting this chassis section.Think I may give this a miss if this is needed?
Found a little more out about the car today..
It's as it says.. Totally standard, standard box, standard diff, ECU etc, no fan mods or anything else done at all.
He was explaining how the mods are "as and when" mods, so the ECU upgrade isn't needed until it goes wrong (cost of £1500?) and diff shouldn't have a problem unless I drive it hard on track etc.
I'm a bit stuck now. I love the car but it's a lot of money for something that may not exactly fit what I'm after.

ignore the dealer saying they are as and when mods. they are assential and unless its really cheap which it isnt i wouldnt touch it. if the car is driven how it is intended tehn it wont be long before they need doing.
you may find the ecu has been done as standard at the factory. mine was, however mine was one the last 2.5 of the line.
my open diff lasted quite a while tbh about 15k of my abusing it.
