Hi all, i am finally getting my Noble tomorrow and the decision of who to insure with obviously cropped up. At the moment its looking like CCI but at £750ish, i was hoping to pay less.

30 years old, 1 no fault claim in the last 3 years, 5yrs NCB etc...

I have searched but it comes up with a fairly limited response from the last year or so.

Who are you insured with and who would you recommend?

I have had a cheaper quote with Admiral but find them difficult to deal with, especially if the worst happens.

I'm with CCI at the moment. Mannings also seem quite popular and have a few Nobles covered. Also ClassicLine?

Hope you enjoy the new car - what did you get in the end?

Regards

Graham

Adrian Flux are excellent, very easy to deal with and everthing done electronically. I dont have the time or the patients to be messed about by insurance companies.

My 10 is a couple of hundred quid, but then it is slow....and I am old!

Admiral were less than £200 but don't cover track days.
CCI about £400 with track cover (5 per year).
Mannings dearer for me, but will consider bearer mods in mind.
Insurance has dropped 30% too if you believe the press. I'll also finally have a clean record on renewal in a couple of months.

Thanks all.

Looks like I will check out need to insure and Mannings.

I have been insured with Admiral in the past and found them very difficult to deal with especially as they have the policy that if you have a no fault claim they put you renewal up "statistically you are more likely to make another claim in the next few years"!

Having said that, I will now probably end up insuring with Admiral.

I think you'll find that all insurers will load like that. It seems unfair, but sometimes there's little difference whether you were or weren't are fault, come next year's renewal.

I have actually found Admiral excellent for my other cars. Especially young driver cover for my son. Insured my 17 y.o. for hundreds rather than thousands. And once he passed, they only charged a smallish fee to cover him on a full license.
I trust them not to shaft you on renewal - so long as you play the usual game, i.e. phone and complain about your renewal quote and ask to speak to their retentions department. Low and behold, they'll knock 20% off, thank you very much.

Hi Graham, went for a titanium 3R, I found one that fitted the bill and was only slightly over budget.

Thanks again for the info. during my hunt for a car.

Direct line were fine about the no fault claim and gave me a quote for circa £300 less than Admiral and that was just on an Audi A6 TDI!

I know what you mean about playing the game and have probably been insured with them for over 8 years with various cars as they are generally so competitive but its just always a pain to deal with them in my experience.

The trick with Admiral is to state you don not want the Automatic renewal option. They will then send you a reminder with a far more competitive quote than the auto renewal one.
This year £386 ( I haven't phoned to negotiate)to cover the M400 and the V6 Rover 75....at least a pound of which must be for the Rover.

Ended up with CCI at circa £750. Paid the extra as they cover track days. Most other secialist insurers were struggling due to lack of recent experience with high power RWD cars (mostly 4wd previously)

make sure you give them prior notice of your track days otherwise you are not covered.
