As I was up there dropping my car of for a service,I had a drive of the 11K mile 3R at Kerridges that has a Roush exhaust and Trevor's re-map to 408 BHP.
I've always been a bit dubious of exactly how much difference it could all really make, or if some of the flag waving was a placebo effect in having to justify the money.
Well, I'm converted, sounds great, pulls very very strongly,no peaks troughs or flat spots.Quiet at motorway speeds but sounds like Red-Rose Cerbera at full chat.
I've always wanted to keep the M400 as standard as possible, but this is now on my bucket list,it's a bloody shame they are mega bucks though,so if anyone has a Roush exhaust they don't need I'm interested!
As an aside, the car in question is as close as you'll get to a "new" 3R, it's a cracking example that has most obviously been cherished.

Yeah the Roush is silly money.

And a silly question: To what extent would remapping a standard m400 be worthwhile? Surely there would be a noticeable improvement?

It wasn't the power, I'm used to that, and I wouldn't want 600BHP in a road Noble as it'd be nigh on unusable. It was more the allround package of the tone and noise level of it,and the driveablity that appealed.

I can confirm that this particular car has most certainly been cherished!

and clean, covered, clean, covered, clean, covered, cleaned, covered.......

I hope it goes to a new owner who continues to enjoy it as much as I did! biggrin

Hi Andy, you would be suprised how drivable a 600 Nob is, it can poodle about all day happily, then when u want,it turns it into an absolute beast and still totaly driveable, just have to be very smooth with throttle input

I get that Craig,I meant unusable as in nowhere to play and I'm pretty sure I'd get frustrated with too much power over grip.If I was tracking I'd no doubt feel different.
