It's in the catalogue that hit the mat today, it has been in two previous auctions and not sold.

Is that right the estimate at £35,000? Surely not. What do you think it would go for? I thought that kind of fez would demand 6 figures.

This one has been knocking about for ages, if I could fit in one, I'd have this right now in my garage, would have to sacrifice a child for it, but hey-ho!!! wink

Just done some searching, can't believe how many different cars Lee Noble designed/built, even if many of the basic design features were present in them all it's quite an achievement.

Stunning car with the usual Lee Noble handling one sold at 30k odd at the NEC auction in November but that is strong money if it is just a V6 Renault engine non turbo . The looks of the P4 is superb but then I am biased

One of my favourite "kit cars" a real one (I think only one exists of the 3 or 4 built) would cost you Millions.
The kit above is spoiled IMO by the attempt to fill the cabin with "crema" coloured stuff. an original would have been a bucket seat (two if you were lucky) bare aluminium panels with the dash painted black on top to stop reflection on the windscreen.

Hi Ian, I love the look and shape of the P4 ever since seeing a friends CanAm at Le Mans Classic. How much room is in there, he was quite tall but had had his built for himself pretty much. For a car to sit along side the Noble, one of these would be great. Do you have any photos of yours we could see.
Does anyone know Lee Noble list that Graham mentioned? Those that I know:
Ultima
Ascari
GT40 rep
P4 rep
M10
M12/400
M600
Russian thing whose name escapes me

Bet there are lots more.

McLaren (suspension) and one could argue: M14, M15?

Paul they are tight on headroom but I am only 5'7" and find it Ok but mine is a spyder on the berlinetta the door slopes in against your head. The later foreman cars have a bit more headroom also the type of seat has a large influence on it. Mine is still work in progress at present cannot wait to Finish it and take it to Le Mans. The memory of a test drive with Lee at the wheel heading down a really bumpy B road at quite a speed when he rests his knee on the wheel using both hands to light a fag but it just soaked up the bumps

Hey Tone winkyou prefer the one that's not trimmed, interesting. Wouldn't the hard edges be a pain (literally)?

So chassis #53 is a 1992, trimmed and with a Renault engine for maybe £30-35K (auction) and chassis #86 is a 1996, untrimmed with a Ford Cosworth engine for £40K then. Tough choice. Lovely pair of motors - I like lick

Does anyone know where the owner would stand re copyright infringement as Ferrari has a very active brand protection team ('cause they wrote to me once!) and for starters that steering wheel boss would well upset them.

I think the problem comes with using ferrari badges on the car (although I don't know how companies get away with making 458 replica's as it is a current car)the cosworth powered car has a special engine to ford group A rally spec and can deliver serious HP

I prefer the "authentic" look, if I had one I'd be tempted to find a 12 cylinder motor for it.
Though the Cosworth should be interesting, improving power to weight and probably good for over 500BHP if boosted a tad. quite an exiting ride I'd have thought.

Ian, how would you describe the handling and are you able to compare it to a Noble?

Rob cannot compare to M12 I am afraid not been in one but must try one sometime ride is vey good considering the springs fitted ultimately they understeer due to lack of weight over the front wheels but this is pushing it on track as for a V12 ferrari engine sounds fantastic but the V12 is a little too long for the chassis which gives poor driveshaft angles suspect the CV joints would be a service item
