footwell width

Wanted to get a set of mats to protect the carpet over winter.

I've got no reference, so how do I know if I have 'wide' or 'narrow' footwells ?

I think the answer is M400 wide and all else narrow.

I do believe that there might be the odd 3R with wide though?

Well my narrow footwell on my 2.5L is 53cm at the widest point, before it tapers in by the pedals.
