VBOX, which one????

I know some of you are running VBOX, but which one have most of you gone for. The boss of VBOX races Fun Cup and he is offering a deal @ £1000 fitted, not sure which one this is, I think it would be for the VBOX lite. Anyone tried this?? thoughts please...

Hi Paul I use a V-box lite , nice and compact and records very well , lots of info too .
Price sounds pretty good as its fitted .

I use the performancebox, its much cheaper and does more than enough with lap times and circuit tools for me, then just use a go-pro for the filming.

It's made by racelogic but its on a separate web site, think I paid £299.

It does lap/splits time, speed, horsepower, various acceleration and braking times, is GPS operated and using the software supplied shows you lap info, speed though corners etc and lets you compare laps.

Does it film as well or is that what you use the GoPro for. Like the idea of it being combined.

It doesn't film, but then the use it gets from me I couldn't justify the expensive ones from vbox and I already had the go-pro 2HD.

I guess if your racing and not just track days its probably worth spending a bit more though.

How much Gadge for the pro system, do you offer a fitting service?, car is stored near Chester.

the pro is available with a breakout box so the sensors can be plugged straight in - rather than wired into the loom etc - so it is easy to fit

i will get some prices together - what things do you want to record ?

As much as we can, throttle pedal would be good. The engine is 1.8 ltr petrol V.A.G. How would the senors plug in??

This is what we use karting on bikes in cars full software package but not cheap also use the Go Pro HD for simple recording very cheap with full fitting kit .

This is the type of thing we were looking for, I know its the Vbox, but @ £1000 it seems a bit expensive, but that includes fitting, so maybe the price is not that far out??? It also means that all footage from the fun cup is uniformed
