Splitter fitting

Hi Guys, recently purchased a standard front splitter, still to be painted / wrapped. I've recently removed the boomerang carbon splitters and can see how they were mounted. How is the centre section secured, difficult to see as it looks to have a reinforcement bar along the front section? I m trying to do it without removing the clam if possible. Cheers

take the clam off and turn it over

drill some holes in the splitter

then fit to clam

fit with screws !

Use a nail gun

The reinforcement bar should have three tapped holes to fix the centre section but make sure the threads are good and bolt in tight. Mine ripped off at "70" and the centre just buckled down and hit the road. I drilled out the holes and used rivnuts for a more secure fixing.

Don't forget to use some arge penny washers on the underside to stop the bolts pulling through .

Cheers guys, had a better look earlier and didn't realise those holes were threaded, that miles it much easier! The boomerangs were looking a bit tired and fancied the full wrap around splitter. Going to get it on a mates ramp in the next few weeks to tick off a few jobs so will fit it then. Cheers
