Went to renew my CCI policy today and without any claims or convictions, it has just gone UP from circa £375 to £545 apparenlty due to some post code re-assessment. Not being funny but i live in posh (as opposed to chavvy/) essex, the car is garaged, 4000miles limited, voluntary additional £100 excess (taking it to £350) and it still goes up.frown

i can probably live without the 4 track days this year.

anyone else had same experience of CCI, and ideas on alternatives (with or without trackday cover) ? I used to use admiral multicar but have recently renewed my insurance on the freelander with LV so dont really want to have to change that policy without massive savings.

mike.

CCI would not insure me until i was 25. Actually none of the companies that offered road and track insurance would insure me.

Elephant was the cheapest for me in the end. Just over £600 23 w 3 years ncb. I get my track insurance separately from Sky insurance. Ive found them the cheapest for track only cover.

I just renewed with CCI, paid around £650 last year, then renewal came through at £820. Got a quote from Mannings for around £700 with unlimited track days.
Checked my renewal again and noticed 'commuting' was on it, so rang CCI and apparently they used to just put commuting on every policy as it didn't add anything to the premium, now it adds an extra charge. Removing it brought my renewal down to £570, so a fair saving, plus they gave me 6 track days instead of 5 smile
Worth a try if you don't use the car for commuting.
Was tempted to go with mannings as the unlimited track days is a big bonus, but there track excess is a lot higher than CCI.

I think the quote i got was around £140 or something for the full value of the car covered for a day.
Most places, Including CCI wanted over £200 for a day

Not sure if they do a yearly cover.

All mods declared including carbon wing ends and 612 bhp , assured value of 35k .

I've just renewed with CCI.

Last year was £650 or thereabouts.
Renewal came in at £780.
Phoned them up and as has been mentioned, previously commuting and limited business use had been included for free, whereas there is additional cost this year.
Asked them to remove it and confirmed limited mileage of 4000 (they had options of 2000, 4000, 6000).
Renewal ended up at £520 for myself and Mrs C&C including 5 trackdays. Agreed value of £39,999. All mods declared.
Postcode area is not the cheapest around Harrow/Wembley, so I'm happy.
