I've rushed the laquer onto this item as I need to use the car so its looks a little rough around the edges and needs painting properly.... going to make the other side and the front clip over the next month.... the only body panel I don't have moulds for is the tub... might do that next winter lol

i have a friend who can build them if you want to sell / loan the moulds

So how much weight have you saved now? Could you make something from carbon that was previously metal? Surely that intercooler frame wouldn't be too hard to replace...

not sure tbh, its between 20-30kgs thus far for the carbon work, I expect to loose another 10kgs on the front clip and will then move to making the alloy panels around the engine bay etc in carbon/kevlar... I originally targeted a 50kgs weight saving, but I have gone way beyond that now (as I have lost over 20kgs in other areas as well) so I guess Im pushing for 100kgs now
When I make a rear splitter Im planning to incorporate the mounting for the intercooler as currently thats all removable on mine.... thats a project well in the future though.

Sorry gadge, currently have no plans to lend or sell my moulds.

done the dash... remade it to a different shape then had it covered in leather and made some carbon panels for new dash unit and bought Daddy's center carbon panel

Considering I work overseas for 1-2 weeks a month and have 4 kids most people actually have more time available than i do hence I cant make stuff for other people as I just don't have the time.

rather hoping to inspire others to give it a go... considering it was only around 1 year ago that I made my first mould and carbon part (dash binnacle) and until then I had absolutely no training or experience with carbon and I've taught myself.

1st job is carbon door pockets with cup holder at front.

No worries, i'm very pleased someone else is giving it a go so we can compare notes and share projects, Your more than welcome to come round anytime you need some help or advice... the cup holder pocket is something i really want as well
Also your idea to recess the noble badge was excellent and is a nice subtle touch

Gadge, I know you were joking, ive shown you how its done, now get in the garage and make some carbon porn of your own

I use easycomposites... their products and advice are second to none IMO... oh and yes they also thought I was mad making a very complicated noble rear clip as my second ever part, especially since the first part went horribly wrong

Am im really thinking about doing this and all because of/ your fault Andy.
Did you just buy the gear and get advise from the suppliers or did you do a bit of watching you tube vids etc?

I think making anything yourself by hand gives you a lot of satisfaction especially when it turns out looking so good...looks like I'm gonna have to make my own side scoops then gonna copy your badge design
