Not as good as a 430 (IMHO)

For anyone that's considered the latest V8 prancing horse, I personally prefer the F430. It's highly lary on the limit with little or no warning that it's going to go, and the lack of flywheel mass on the engine is a royal pain on motorways. It also goes terribly vague at very high speeds, and feels like it's aquaplaning quite a lot (when it clearly isn't).
And as for that steering wheel, ridiculous system.
Looks nice though, sort of suits the house I think?

Can't really say, but I was left a bit disappointed by it.Tux
For me still the MP4-12C is my "£200k" car, although one thing the F458 does excel at is putting it in Auto mode around town. The drive back to the club this morning through London's rush hour was a positive pleasure.

Ive looked long and hard at the MP4 12C but the styling is just odd !! i would also worry about residual values as there seems to be loads for sale !!
The 458 will be very sort after , perhaps they design the car more for cruising about than using on track , the one that i passed at the super car day did not look that fast .
i still think as a drivers car the M600 would take some beating .

Interesting you should say that. I had set the speed alert at 1.0 units (as I do with most cars) and didn't seem to breach it that quick. It also didn't "feel" that quick to me, certainly not GT-R quick, but then perhaps that's because it's actually quite a big old lump of a car.It was nice, but not IMHO as nice as a 430 was when I drove a new one of them many years ago. That was such a game changer it felt like.
