hi everyone and happy new year .what ball joints will my early gto use ?. i have tried the rover ones and the thread is differant and is it worth poly bushing the wishbones or shall i stick to the metalastic bushes and if so what are they from ?.1 last question does anyone know what the heater flap control motor is off as the white plastic arm that attaches to the stainless rod has broken. any help would be fantastic many thanks

Had a rummage through Nobleparts and found this info:

Take it to any decent motor factors. Normally have them in stock and are about 10 quid.

Dont buy cheap ones,they wont last 5min
Peter smith sports cars supplied me some and they where uter crap.
Check for movement when you get them, just not worth the trouble with cheap rubbish

thankyou all very much ,i got 6 metro joints today and 2 cavalier (lower front ). still stuck on the motor for flap control on the heater box any ideas ???? and what are the metalastic wishbone bushes from ?

tried to fit the metro ball joints today but the only ones that fit are the qh qsj1060s ,the first line and other makes have the wrong thread !!!. looks the same but when you hold the threads next to each other you can see a small amount of day light so now on the hunt for more qh ones

The QH QSJ1060S should be the correct top ball joints ones for a GTO, where are you in the Southwest as l have several if your stuck. Kevin

Hi Kevin and thankyou ,I am near Swindon in Wiltshire I need 4 more ?. I was confused when the firstline ones did,nt fit and the qh ones did but the threads are very slightly differant . The problem is that qh have no stock untill the middle of Feb now and chances are when they do restock it will be from the same supplier as first line get theirs . If you pm me I can send you a cheque for the joints and postage many thanks dean
