OK, so if this is in fact the case (by way of the people having spoken/tapped) and we only take the TVR production run/numbers (availability) into account (and not just desireability) then as I've often said, we, the Nobility, must also be sitting on (in) future rare classics (and goldmines)...
The 'catch it while you can' award - Any TVR
"Any TVR for sure! 996 Turbo close second though," said PHer JnP in the discussion thread following the nominations, eerily predicting the results pretty much spot on. Although, to be fair, even with the weight of a recent buyer's guide behind it the 996 Turbo wasn't that close behind, PH's special affection for Blackpool rock meaning TVR romped to victory. The sad news that any possible chance of a revival has been destroyed late this year has probably sealed it too and if you've always promised yourself a TVR of your own you'll need to act fast to grab one while they're still vaguely attainable."

Having gone through this recently I'd have to disagree but I hope I'm wrong in times to come.
Ok so I sold my car at the wrong time of the year but even taking that into account I'd probably not get back what I paid for it 2 years ago.
The Noble is too specialist and not many have knowledge of them to appreciate the true value. I'd also be very wary of putting too much into the Noble unless you are keeping it or don't actually care about future values. Dealers were also very wary of touching mine because of the mods.
On the other hand TVR is a much more renowned brand. Cars are flying off Pistonheads and a large number are leaving the UK for foreign soils. This is pushing prices to silly levels. I got £30K for my Tuscan S Mk3 in trade in for the Noble 2 years ago. I'd now be expecting nearer £40k for the same car. On the other hand I paid £29K for the Noble and got £23,500 for it recently.
I know I know - more fool me for selling it but I had no choice as my left achilles has been posted missing and I'm not sure when it will be operational again.

Funnily enough I discounted having any TVRs due to the reliability issues, cemented by the stories a mate told me when he worked as a TVR tech. Although the noble was a punt, at the price I paid back in 2006 it was compariable with TVRs but it sems much less risky proposition although it was the car I always wanted so was prepared to take a chance.
The prices have been pretty stable during this time which bodes well for the future, as time goes on the tidy and (resonably) standard ones are likely to hold their value, especially as a lot of owners hang on to their cars for a long time and the numbers fall with right offs etc.
My noble was a bargain in 2008 for £32,000 and would expect to get more if I sold it, not going to though after all the modifying. I bought the Sagaris in summer when I saw prices rising and many cars leaving the uk, it stung me £50,000 but I got a very low mileage car with the spec I wanted an I won't be modifying it, it's also a keeper for many years and one day expect it to be worth double... If not I don't care as ill leave it to someone who will appreciate it. The pair complement each other pretty well and ill hopefully get them both together for some nice pictures once my cast is off!
