Servicing in Surrey
Discussion
Hi All
Im looking for some advice on servicing in Surrey.
I was very fortunate to inheritate my dads 2004 GTO-3 when he passed away this year. He bought it new from mole valley after having tvrs for many years and in 8 years its only done 7000k. It has a track sump, but never tracked.
Basically Ive been quoted £890 + parts and VAT from mole valley for an annual service, does this sound right or can anyone recommend a good garage in surrey that knows nobles? I know alot of you praise Jetstream, but its too far away.
I appreciate any help and hopefully might see some of you at a next meet.
Thanks
Steve

Steve, thats an unfortunate way to become a Noble owner - cherish the car.
Cost varies a lot depending on which service is due. The car should have an annual service regardless of mileage, and an oil change at least every 6k miles. Between £600 and £1000 normally - these cars are not cheap to maintain properly.
There is good reason people recommend Jetstream, though I have also just had a very satisfactory experience at Plans Motorsport, Dunsfold. Worth giving them a call or checking the website.
There are a couple of us in Surrey; shout if you need a hand with anything or fancy a run out.
Dom.

Hi Dom
Thanks for the reply.
As you say, not the best way to become an owner, but thankfully we speced the car together, like all the ones before it, so its become a very meaningful car.
Ill try Plans motorsport for a comparison, but I knew it wouldnt be cheap, so i was prepared!!
If you see a bright red blur, that will be me :-)
Thanks
Steve

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, they quoted me for a service and then shafted me double plus parts for work I hadn't authorised and the very next day a turbo hose blew off because they hadn't tightened the hose clip! Im looking for some advice on servicing in Surrey.

Hi Steve, what an awful way to become the owner of a Noble but I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm sure your father did. With regards to servicing, I can't disagree with the following.

I, personally would avoid Plans

Skip at Bespoke is a Noble expert. I've been taking mine there for the past two years and I've been very happy with the quality and thoroughness of Skip's work - both servicing and mods.
Never used Jetstream myself although lots on here rave about them and if they now collect and deliver, what do you have to lose? The only thing I've never understood is why they don't have a website or advertise themselves in any way? Strange.Service costs are nuts considering the parts are not tht expensive. Looking through all the history that came with my car it's been to kerridges, noble Motorsport and bespoke, all prices varying hugely for the same work.
I'm scotland based but probably going to head down to bespoke when the time comes next summer
