Jetstream brake upgrade
Discussion
Finaly got chance today to go over to Jetstream and get my brake system overhauled and upgraded at the same time , the current setup of Pagid pads and grooved discs was starting to feel a bit tired after 2 years hard work and after James had his mastercylinder failure at Croft i decided a complete overhaul was required .
on the list was , new master cylinder and servo , hard brake lines as the M400 , Alcon 350mm disc's new pagid RS29 all round .
Jetstream have been working with Alcon to develop a new front disc and cailper , the biggest advantage of the new disc is not just the bigger dia but its also a semi floating disc which should stop the dreaded brake vibration that most of us seem to get !!! caliper are not available yet but the disc's are very very nice !!
here is the old braided line that ran down the tunnel
hard line fitted
The new setup feels superb , the brake feel is still very good and the retardation from 140mph to standstill was enough to make me feel very sick !!!! (thanks Dave)
Great service from Dave as he fixed a rear turbo water leak and a leak on the steering rack at the same time !!
looking forward to my next track day to put them through there paces !!

Cheers Tux, all I need now is for Jetstream to offer a collect and drop off service
Definately will opt for master cylinder and hard pipe kit at next opportunity.
Agree on the collect service Craig!! lolDefinately will opt for master cylinder and hard pipe kit at next opportunity.
I LOVE those pattern discs. When I was last up there, if the wait hadn't been 10 days for the first batch of new discs they'd have been on my car that day. Although, I like the idea of the massive new calipers too. Hmmm.
Better use my car a bit more and wear the original discs out pronto!
Lucky boy Tux, they look great and perhaps yours is the first Noble that brakes as well as my Impreza! (Huge Alcon 4 pots with 330mm grooved discs and Carbotech pads)

Can't they just send a trailer around the country collecting and dropping off cars on a frequent basis. I'm sure there is enough work ;-)I LOVE those pattern discs. I'm still waiting for my Matt to tell me all about the seats he was sorting out for me.

I have a similar vibration on two sets of discs/pads sets and think it may be related to pad material. Do you run the DS2500s pads?

Interesting you should say that as both sets of discs I've used ferrodo pads and had brake judder. I have thought about using the DS2500s to see if it makes a difference. After my last trackday I've fitted new discs, hubs, bearings, pads and spindles so was a bit gutted when I had the same issue as before. YellowShed
