No Noble this weekend, won't see her for a month

She is having the front splitter fixed and also the brakes are being fixed, I hope.

When I picked her up, 1800 miles only, the discs were warped.

Dealer didn't want to know, but they did skim them, much to my annoyance, but can steel feel it under the pedal, not as bad.
I insisted on new, so spoke to Noble, as the dealer washed there hands of it, she is now with AP apparently being tested.

Interesting thread on brake warping.... or rather not warping as the case may be!!! here.

Can't say if yours are, or are not without a DTI.

Have had warped discs in the past, know the symptons.

It can not be caused by the pads.

Once the discs where skimmed, the probe went away mostly, but I could still feel the judder breaking from speed.

Not telling what speed, just in case

Pretty sure the pad imprinting problem is a valid explanation, although perhaps not in every case. I've done it to a car myself (its ok it was only a metro). Did you read the full article linked in the other thread? It does make a very good case.

Doesn't change the fact that you may need new discs though

New discs yes, me pay, no. Under warranty, will not accept anything else, as far as I am concerned, dealer will have to fork out the money. I discovered it the day I collected the car and emailed them the same day, so not my problem.

I no longer beleive this "discs warped" babble. I've read the thread elsewhere about pad imprinting etc and am convinced this is whats really happening.

Since then I have relied on the advice about how to deal with it and have dealt with "brake judder" at just about every track day I go to and it allways works.

The only other explanation is that my calipers are so strong they can physically straighten the warp or perhaps my pads are so coarse they scim the discs as well?
