Is there any real knowledge about what the engine is good for before having to go to forged pistons etc? I was under the impression the M400 has them and a wilder cam?
Certainly though if you want to go much over what's there you'll need to change things.
Although if you need inspiration have a look at what these crazy people do (www.msprotege.com/vbb225/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=47) - the 3L V6 is also used in the Mazda 6 so you can compare notes.
The reviews on the 1G Racing website give some of the "game away" but you can't be sure if that is just jurno hyperbola.

Said "will not be able to do anything to increase performance because of the ECU"
Oh well.

I've had discussions with a tuning company re performance upgrades for my 2.5L car - they are a well known ScoobyEVO tuner - Once they have had some time with the car i'll report back what scope they think there is, if any.
