That one is a steal. Some have been up for sale for quite a while now.

I really want one that has a damaged engine - I have some plans for the noble - but it will require an engine transplant

Don't knacker the balance, it's the beauty of the whole car!

Having said that, I test drove the new Audi S4 a coupla weeks ago. When chatting to the sales dude, he mentioned that the new 4.2l V8 was, in total, lighter than the previous 2.7 bi-turbo ! Hmmmm, that got me thinking! the New S4 has 344bhp in standard form. Fetch me B.A.Baracus and a welding kit!!

May have to wait a bit then, because engine damage is likely to be covered under warranty and most of us have extended warranties.

Why would you want to as the engine is adequately powerful already and still has tuning potential.

If you want to play with random engines isn't an ultima a better bet as at least it would have a resale value!

Different engine = almost impossible. Remember it's transverse and it's weight is balanced against the gearbox. You could swap out the whole engine/transmission for another transverse setup, but what?

The current lump spins nicely over 7K and achieves 350BHP+ with a low 0.7BAR boost. Can't really get much better than that as a starting point.

The engine i have in mind is actually another ford explorer engine - but with a shorter stroke to help it rev

I have a friend that builds race engines and he has already sold a few engines to noble themselves
