Posted on another forum, grounded on that slight slope. Lowered perhaps?

The front looks very very low. Is it grounded on the other side as it looks ok on the visible side.

Apparently it was properly wedged, very heavy crunch. The picture was taken as it started to move back.

Take a look at the M400 pics in this forum (should still be on first page). You can see that this car has been lowered a fair amount, unless its sitting strangely on its suspension.

Don't see how it would have got that low to be fair unless its on nitrons and the ride height has been slammed. Seems a silly thing to do though

Compare to this which is at a similar angle but reflected.

Yes that was me on Tuesday buying some new rear tyres after 9500 miles and yes I underestimated the ramp junction and clonked the splitter albeit I was only travelling at 7 m.p.h. did make a noise did'nt it?

Not lowered or anything just the usual 3R ground clearance i.e. not very much!

First time I have been spotted on this forum!

Where were you?

The splitter "splitting" nearly always sounds worse than it is - most times you don't even see any damage to the leading edge!

Martin's (V6 GTO's) idea of a wooden splitter is a good one as the wood will not make much noise when it contacts the floor - an added benefit is that it will, after some scraping, hone itself into a nice sharp edge - perfect for aiming at traffic warden's shins!!! :-) LOL

A wooden Noble - no references to Morgan's - please!

Just checked the "other forum" and they arent Noble converts are they?

Seem to prefer clio's???? Says it all I think!

Well no car is perfect and I did not need to reverse to avoid the incline and there was no visible damage on the splitter either!

I'm sure he feels better knowing 'how impractical it is in the real world', as then he can rationalise having a rover 220 and stave off the green eyed monster.

I'm sure his Rover is a great car...he just needs to figure out a way to get it to do 0-60 in 3.7 and 175mph!( Oh, and get it noticed wherever it goes) M.
