Sat in traffic yesterday and watched temp gauge heading up to and past 100C and was convinced the fans didn't cut in.

Left the car running on the drive today to check and again heading up to 100C and no sign of the fans kicking in. Anyone know what temp they should start working at?? (M12GTO 2002)

Cheers

My week old car runs at about 91-92 and the fans cut in at about 94. Martin.

Cheers Martin

Other than fuses (which seem to be okay) any other likely cause for for fans not cutting in??

I had this, was a faulty temp sensor. I believe 99 is the cut in temp. The fans should come on any time when the ac is on. If they come on with AC but not as the temp climbs, it the sensor. O.

Mine's a 3R - fans on around 91-92.

Try:
1) spinning both fans with your finger - to check for seizing.
2) Check the power connector near/underneath the clutch fluid reservoir - it feeds both fans).
3 Check the relay/fuse (don't ask me?)
4 Temp sensor?

Good luck!

If you wanna be able to pick your nose ever again, only try this with the engine swithed off!

Tried picking my nose with the engine off but the fan still didn't work, maybe if I pick it with it on .....

HAR, HAR! I made the assumption that Nobility, whilst being Nobler than the average "cat", are also smarter! LOL.
