Has anyone replaced theirs? I have my eye on a couple of Momo wheels and wondered whether they all use the same boss (so you just leave the boss on and bolt the wheel to it)?

Pretty sure the aftermarkets should fit on just fine as the wheel the car comes with is also an aftermarket one. What size wheel are you going for? I'm tempted to get something a tad smaller (and more attractive). I really like the aftermarket momo one lotus sell although its been in short supply of late.

Lovely! I did consider a wheel with change-up lights along the top but where do I connect these to?!

Its fairly easy to make a shift light kit yourself. I think Maplins even do a self build project.

Actually Martin, yes I did visit Halfords! Their prices are keen but it seems that they market the Momo line under their Ripspeed brand, so the centre boss has the word "Ripspeed" instead of "Momo" and I don't like this!

I believe these things connect to the rev counter feed behind the dash. Never seen a nice wheel with lights in it though? The stack wheels with all the displays in are frankly pretty ridiculous in a roadcar where you have to put more than half a turn of lock on in either direction.

there is always something like this to replace your standard tach. Don't know for sure if it would fit though, but very nice nonetheless...

www.stackltd.com/tachtim1.html

there was one for sale on the Caterham Grads site.

Nice gauge but I saw a Momo wheel (I think?) whilst trawling earlier that just had a set of change-up lights at the top - very neat!

Well the kit I saw years ago contect straight to the coil. The shift lights could then be set to whatever you wanted.
It was also possible to make a digital read out version.

Having the shift lights in the top of the wheel makes sense, as it will generally be at around the twelve o'clock position when you are accelerating hard.

Also the top of the wheel is higher in your field of vision then the dash clocks..

However, for a grand or so, that buys a lot of driver training with someone like Cadence which would probably be more valuable..

Still like the wheel lights though!

Those carbon wheels look great Martin!

Won't carbon get sweaty/slippy? Thats half the reason I don't like the current one.

All set to collect my M400 tomorrow and have asked the factory to fit a Momo Millenium wheel as I'm not too keen on the standard type. www.passionmotorsport.co.uk/solesteermenu9.htm

Bob what size are you ordering? Also is it same as standard.

I quite fancy a Momo Team I think.
