There may be a chance that I have lost my Gumball 3000 partner for next year, so I am looking now.

You will need to be fun, outgoing, excellent sense of humour, a team player and must be able to drive very competently. That is to make up for my lack of ability.

You must also have a cast iron belief in me as a driver. So that means do not tell me to slow down. However, this is where the team work comes in. We want to make it to the end, so a degree of sensible caution is allowed.

What do you need?

Half the fee, which is 4k, pay half the costs, fuel etc and spending money.
Not too much weight, we want to be able to compete.

What you don’t need:-

A Noble M12 GTO 3R

On my part, I will be doing the same as last year, I am going to try to get 3K for a charity, yet to be decided on, if we are having fun, why not try and give a little back.

If you are interested, email me and we can discuss.

May be able to help you there - was planning on doing the gunball at some point.

May be able to help with the technical side too?!

Will have to check dates and funds (possibly sponsor)

HI Ashley,

This has been a dream of mine for a long time now!! Ever since that bloody Ruby Wax documentary!!!
I would be more than up for this sort of challenge. I only weigh 10st so I'm sure I would pass the weigh in!!! I had a long career racing Motocross from the age of 6-21 so have no problems with bravery awards!!
Also sponsorship shouldn't be a problem too. My line of work entails me to be in constant contact with various firms and institutions within the motorsports industry and related.
Could do with a rough idea on costs though to start with. What sort of ballpark figures would we be looking at post registration fee? How does the expenses work.i.e accomodation, food, Ferry's, Speeding fines!!!! etc. This would be real helpful to know. Also how would the insuarance be organised?
This would be a once in a lifetime adventure for me so this is a serious enquiry.

Awaiting you reply (Very eagerly!!!)

Rich.

Ash, Ok I am still trying to get funds sorted but I am 999% cert that I wanna do this. I think we could have good chance of winning the thing! (If not we can just cheat ) What upgrades have you got on your 3R if any?

What is likely to be the total cost (roughly) including fines and hotels, women, bribes etc. ???

how many other noble's are doing it (more importantly how many nobles are doing it with the same coloured car, :O )

Anyway, whats your email dude, so we can discuss further the ins and outs of winning - oh and maybe some ideas of getting together some funds. Anyone out there fancy 'popping in' a few K's to see a Noble try and win this thing?

Ash, its not a race, its a rally!

The real winners are the suckers who do it in a 2CV or something 'gumball' anyway. The person who seems to win through the gates first seems to normally be that fat german twat in his AMG uberwagon and he never gets any publicity for it in the media.

Dan

You are correct.

It is not a race. The last thing you do on the Gumball is put your foot down.

My advice to all competitors is to follow the law of the land you are in.

Speed limits must be adhered to, be courteous at all times and help your fellow Gumballer if they get into trouble with the law. An example could be, pay his fine.

If they all follow these simple rules, we have a damned good chance of winning.

That was kinda my point. i.e. if you approach it as a race, its going to end in tears.

Watching the movies, the guys who tend to lead seem to drive something low profile and very comfy without doing the really silly speeds and drawing attention to themselves.

Any idea where I can get lime green and orange paint?

Don't want to stand out too much.
