Having read through a few posts and experienced them for myself it would appear there are a few common problems. What I would like to know is whether there are any solutions to them?

1. Headlights fogging up.
2. Air-con dragging Engine Idle speed down and causing it to stall.
3. Creaking dashboard.

Input from everyone welcome (including the factory please )

Oh and my dealer has already fixed these issues (not).

1. This has been done to death on a previous thread.

2. There is a new map to sort it I believe. I think they may have been too optimistic on the idle speed.

3. Not heard of this being a common fault at all. Travelled a long way in one on Sat/Sun and no creaks except when i had my foot on the panel in the passenger footwell at the back, and thats because it wasn't done up properly. Have you worked out where its coming from?

Add also:

4. Wind noise around driver's side window (covered on earlier thread)
5. Might be just me, but the trim around the rear screen (inside) keeps falling off. Have resorted to velcro to re-fit.
6. Crappy radio reception.

Would list all the plus points too, but far too many to mention.....

Surprised you guys are wanting to list such minor niggles like this here. Not going to help your residuals/brand perception as despite being trivial issues its still moaning Especially as plenty of these don't seem like common issues, so to portray them as such is silly.

Depends how you interpret "don't seem like common issues"...... Two of the three issues I mentioned had already appeared in different threads from other people, and the third one I acknowledged may well be peculiar to me. How else does one find what is and is not a common issue, unless there is some form of discussion and sharing of information?

It will take far more than this to affect brand perception. A Noble with a few gripes is better than most other marques in perfect order (IMHO)! Would also add the the main purpose of this forum in my view is to help/advise or be helped/advised by other Noble owners, all of whom are well aware of what's good and what's not. The non-owners who look in will of course form their own opinions.

Dan, I don't see this as moaning and some of the above aren't minor niggles - if you've just spent £56,000 on a "product" then (some of) these are valid issues and this is the forum for such issues! :-)

Lucozade, YHM!

But there's a difference with Noble cars. The little things get fixed on later models. You could say that we're all beta testers in some way, but I see that generally as a good thing because the factory IS listening and sorting these issues out.

Hiding the problems isn't going to make the cars better. You could have a valid point saying this isn't the best place for this chat, but conversely it shows how open Noble are. Also, if some one reads all this and doesn't buy a Noble because of it they weren't going to get on with it anyway. Cars as I'm sure you know are a balancing act based around price. I think Noble's got it about right.

I could detail all the stuff that went wonky on my EVO6.....

Edit: Dam you all type quick. I think all the aboves been said...must get a typist

Before we get a little too "anal" about all of this - my intention was not to start a thread of all issues. Just common issues that are known about and that do have fixes for. I'm asking for the experience of the masses.

I'm also hoping for a little input from the factory. Especially when it comes to the idle speed one with the air-con switched on.

As for residuals I doubt that this single thread will have a bearing on that at all. If anything, if we have a list of faults and a list of remedies and happy people then this would surely be a good thing - not a bad one.

If you don't want to post a reply then don't. If you want to help then do. It's a public forum not a debating chamber with a speaker controlling the house.

A fair summary.....

Fair enough, I did cover your points already though!

My point was simply that the thread says common problems, and a number of the things listed aren't.

Radio, bad reception.

Take the front off, there is a reset button, press it in with a pin or pen, reception should be fine.

Mine did the same, crap, then the radio just stopped.

Reset, and the reception is fantastic.

We really must get a FAQ going. I'm happy to bodge up a website and host it if there's nowhere better.

Its a real shame that the original mailing list archive and the website have disappeared. Was a lot of good info there...

Phil,
I've already started a FAQ, mailed it out to the old mailing list a while back but got no takers to share their experiences. So it's been gthering dust.

Dan,
I have an archive of the old mailing list, just not sure how to export the database it's in to a useable format!

Cheers,
Anthony.

I press the "source" button on the stereo and it only plays CDs, but no radio (will try the reset button). The controller stuck to the steering column keeps falling off. But they're Sony items, so can't really blame Noble.

Driver's door seal rubber has split.

That's about it so far.

You're pressing it twice, right (it should go once - on, twice - radio, three times - CD, four times - off).

I'd be interested in this too, as the car has idled awkwardly and stalled once or twice on startup with the air-con on, especially in hot weather. (ie France)
