Dropped my car into the garage today to get the broken heater pipe, and air con, and rev counter, and door latch, and lack of boost problems (I think that was all!) fixed. Was please to get a phone call saying that they had fixed the a/c and the door latch - but that they needed to order parts for the other problems.

How p***ed off was I when I went to pick it up to find that the a/c had broken again - now it does absolutely nothing at all other than light a pretty yellow light on my dash board! It seems that one of the problems is that the relay is getting covered in water from somewhere.

The other problem I have with it is that when it is working - and I use that term lightly - when the compressor kicks in it almost feels like you have given the brakes a big prod - it takes that much power from the engine. I was told that this is probably due to the engine mapping.

Think I am going to take it back to the factory to get the engine management sorted - hopefully curing the boost (lack of) problem and the a/c. DanH suggested taking it to Roush - but I didn't fancy the drive to Essex. However I gave them a quick call as they have a place 5 mins away from me in Warwick and it sounds as if they will be offering a similar service from there.

Sorry about the total lack of any useful information in this post - I just wanted to moan about my car not working!

Adam, I can confirm that the compressor kicking-in should not seem noticable when driving. Also, when operating correctly plenty of chilled air is generated.

Good luck with the fixes!
