Anyone driven in the pis*ing rain before?
First time i have yesterday and i ended up with soaking wet carpeted bits between the door and the seat between the bars of the chassis. Almost puddles to be honest. Same place on both sides, so evidently the windows leak.
Any ideas / solutions?
Wipers were remarkably good in constant rain, but one is loosing its rubber so any advice / links on where to get the best new wiper blades would be good too.

Hmmm....so this is why everyone does the floor re-sealing?!
I was never a fan of the mods that didnt "add value" like floors and tunnel mods. They just sounded like money for old rope, so to speak.
But last weekend i was wishing i had the tunnel mod as it was so damn hot.
And this weekend, its the floor as both sides let water in, and i was sure it hadnt come through the window!
Craig, rough guide to costs for asking Dave / Matt to do the floor and tunnel mod?
May as well get the to fit my stainless rear manifold before the other one breaks at the same time?
Or i could just put up with the heat and not drive it in the rain......

Cost will depend on how corroded the self tappers are! Quickest to drill out and replace with stainless. Shouldnt be an expensive trip and it will ad value because you can the use the car in the wet

Erm I can't remember exactly how much it was as it was part of a bigger bill that included new grooved disks and oil cooler. And it's also so many bills since!
IIRC the floor is around £400 plus labour. But unfortunately it's labour intensive.
The tunnel mod is only about £60. I think Dave did the throttle cable rerouting at the same time.
Basically whatever can be done when the floor is off - get it done!
I would even price up some new carpet and some dynomat from Trimman. Will make a world of different.
I was advised to get the oil cooler fitted too but that involved moving the ECU so turned into a bigger more expensive job. Since then I've heard they aint that good located in the side pods but I could be talking rubbish.
No wonder people do the floor themselves then.
Matt did notice that my floor was a bit knackered. Couple of the screws were falling out. Dry days only for the time being then!
Cooling mod is cheap? But assuming only once the floor is off.
I hear throttle cable is sensible change too.
It's almost never ending really.....i can see why a Porker GT3RS 4.0 is so expensive. A bulletproof super machine takes some R&D to get right!

h of a job !!!!!! Did my own swore after that if it ever needed re doing Jetstream could do it no matter what it cost !!!!!!!

I had the tunnel mod done by them on my last service and that's what they charged. Don't believe they took the main floor off to do it. Paid more for the parts than the labour. As every one says it is defiantly worth it, may have possibly been the first time I had to put the heater on on the way home from them!I hear throttle cable is sensible change too.
