Hi,
My rear (unpainted carbon fibre) wing has marks across it like a polish smudges (but aren't). Had a quick go at polishing it tonight but made no difference.
Anybody else seen this, and managed to get rid of it ?
Thanks,
Rob.

Does it look like the clear layer is coming off?

mine has loads of white patches in the substance of the wing seemingly stretched along the fibres, probabaly air bubles casued by not too brilliant a "lay up" when it was made. No sign of delaminating. Not perfect but doesn't seem to slow it up much.

Hi,
It looks something like:

Sorry for the poor presentation, couldn't get photopic to work on my machine
Don't know whether you can see this or not - looked really clear on my home machine, looks just normal and black on my work machine

Rob.

It could be something to do with a haze in the lacquer itself although maybe unlikely. It's called 'Blooming' and often happens when the panel is lacquered and is exposed to cold temperatures too quickly before curing. Basically it's a build up of condensation beneath the final layers. I'm not saying I recommend you do this but you could try heating it with a hairdryer gently to see if that helps any. Just a thought mate. Did you happen to notive it when purchased or has it developed over night or increased in severity???
