I have Bridgestone S02s and I like them. Have a fairly new rear set, but now I need some new fronts.
The only ones I can find currently are Z rated and not Y as my current ones. Is this going to be a problem?
If so what front tyres should I change to? Does it matter if they are different to my rears?

Z is rated 150+. Unless you're regularly doing 130+ runs I wouldn't say you're troubling them. Especially fronts.
Personally I would never use different tyres per axle on a car such as the noble but some people do.
Your alternative is to get a new set of different tyres and sell your used rears if they have plenty of tread and are in good nick.

I've put my part worn Eagle F1's back on my new speedlines and all I seem to be doing is wheel spins and under steering like its on Ice, never really realised how good the yokos were till now.
Thanks to Jetstream for supplying me front shocks while mine go for a freshen up, are standard m12 shocks air damped? These ones seem to be and handle great!

Do you notice much of a difference in ride quality between the Yokos and the F1's, Graham? (I presume the Yokos have stiffer sidewall?)
I'm going to need new boots fairly soon, and they certainly need to be a bit more sticky at the back to get more of the power down, but I don't want to make it too harsh and compromise the nice compliant ride I have at the moment.
Currently, I have P Zero Rossos all round.

Graham

The sidewalls on the yokos are solid, anything in your car that is not bolted down properly will clunk or rattle on normal s
tty roads and it's not pleasant.
I had one clunk left to identify but now I'm back on the eagles, it's gone and it's nice and smooth riding again. Lol
If you want sticky tyres for road/track go for triple 8's.
If you want trackday tyres and super responsive feedback get yokos.
Normal road tyres just don't cut it anymore and I'm just talking about being on 500bhp setting, using high boost just results in constant wheelspin upto 100mph
I'll be putting 888's on once the goodyears are destroyed- not long. I'll be keeping the other set of wheels on yokos for trackday/spa/ring voyages.

So the 888's are a softer ride?
I think I will get another set of wheels and appropriate tyres for track days, but as you say even at low boost I need more traction on the road!

Oh yeah, I meant to ask, 32 psi I believe they put in.
About right or not ?
Rears should be around 27psi. You'll need to scrub the tyres in for a good 100 odd miles usually for normal road tyres before making any kind of judgements. The Vredesteins I run are shocking for the first hundred miles or so.About right or not ?
