Can A M400 be Developed To Compete With A M600
Discussion
After seeing Jason Plato took the M600 around the Silverstobe GP Arena circuit in 2.22 can the M400 be developed to match or beat the M600?
Which is the better chassis, the new or the old?
I reckon Shaun was about 2.30 so can 8 seconds be found, I guess 2 seconds will be the driver (Jason Plato) so it will require about another 6 to be found in tbe car?
Shaun did an excellent job, anyone up for chasing the new style Nobility?

Pedalled well with the right set up it shouldn't be too dificult.
The problem lies with the definition of set-up.
The old car is lighter and I think would be the quicker at a tight track like Anglesey, the problem would be gearing and aero IMO.
So if you could get the correct gearing to keep pace with the legs of the M600 and ditch the parachute like aero at speed, then you should stand a good chance at a high speed circuit.

Hi Barry , Shaun's best lap would be something like 2.27/8 easy as my best is 2.31 and he is much quicker than me !!
We already have cars that can compete on pace and to be honest most of the 600bhp cars can give the M600 a good scare !!! As regards build quality road presence ect ..... No not a cat in hells chance

I think that Dave B couldn't pedal the M600 around Silverstone any quicker than he could my car. The M600 is more controlled and refined therefore less dramatic and has more of a road focus, he has taken me around Silverstone in the Light Blue one and it didn’t seem any faster, just easier to drive.
And the M600 is less likely to break!

Would be good to see one of you boys after all your hard work get close to Mr Platos M600 time, got to give tbe M400 2 seconds back just because the600 was on the hands oft Plato. We already have cars that can compete on pace and to be honest most of the 600bhp cars can give the M600 a good scare !!! I'd venture to say that a pro driver to whom you give the green light to go for it will best almost anyone time here by more than 2s...It's a good target to go for, better than going for me I think

And to answer your question, any car can be developped to be faster than any other car, depends where you set the limits both technically and financially.

its nothing to do with poor positioning it's called waiting/ rules and saftey for you your car and others, there is no excuse for overtaking into a bend, its just poor driving.
