Now i know this isnt strictly Noble but while i wait for circumstances to be right for me to buy a Noble M12 3 R i am thinking about getting a Nissan 350Z (as a daily driver), i have only heard good review etc... and went to see one over the weekend (not a test drive) and was extremely impressed by quality etc... my question is any one driven/own/owned one or know somone etc.... that has???

Thanks,

Haven't owned one but I do like them.

I did own the Mazda RX-8 which was superb. Build quality was imense and that rotary engine is sooooo much fun. Have a look at them first.

I have to say the mazda doesnt do it for me looks wise plus im a bit wary about the wankle engine, plus this is probably my last chance for a 2 seater as an everyday car so i want it to be as impractical as is possible!

Yes, I do own one. They are terrific cars. They are hard to beat for the "bang for the buck" factor. It is my daily driver and is often my car of choice to drive (I do have other toys in the garage, including an 427 AC Cobra and a supercharged C5 Corvette), but I have a feeling the Noble will be #1 once it arrives.

Had a play with one a few days ago. Looks nice, very smooth and very good handling. Compared with the Noble? A milk float. Are we moving yet? I'm sure I can feel a bit of acceleration....maybe not.

Ok that's taking it a bit far but you get the idea. Maybe it's just me (and I'm lucky I can) but I don't believe in interims.

Can't comment on the Z except to say that thier owners like Nobles. A guy in a gold one was so busy staring at mine today that he nearly rear-ended a Transit! Martin.

FYI - ive ordered one anyway, it wouldnt be instead of a noble its just a nicer car for me to drive to work in and ive always wanted a straight V6 and plus 280 bhp is not to bad.

Saying that the noble will have to wait until next year now but as i got done twice over the weekend in as many hours by the rozzers in the Lotus i need to keep a low profile, if i'd been driving the clio im sure i wouldnt have attracted the attention/got off as they were pathetic things they did me for! My only concellation is they will never own the cars that i have and will own, well for cash anyway.

You can strap on a supercharger onto the 350Z to make things more interesting!

AMG - real coppers - they werent traffic they were just revenue raising in the most pathetic way, non points offences so not too bad just left a very bad taste thats all. Previous i used to be a supporter and used to give the benefit of the doubt to peoples attitudes towards the police now i can see why people dislike them.

Turbo charger is a nice idea but you have to put a bulge in the bonnet, a bit too halfords for me, any way its quick enough for a daily drive.

What did they do you for then if its a non points offense? Lack of front plate? Thats only 30 quid IIRC.

No, they have just turned a dead residential road, that has no through traffic and no bus stops into a bus and cycle lane, its a normal t junction road - no bus markings on the road or cycle bits etc..., ive been down a few times a while ago, thus wasnt looking for new signs, the most pointless thing in the whole world plus waste 2 coppers time just sitting there hiding behind a bush seems a joke considering there arent enough police, of which i mention that not far away is alot of areas of trouble where i see no police etc... and could it be todo with this being a very rich road and probably the chief super living down it or some nonse councilor, they shrug there shoulders - so yes.

So finally get the ticket then after an hour finda open police station to do a producer, drive back with the missus and she said oh lets stop quickly and get a bottle of wine pull off main road into street - now theres a double yellow - being naive i think that weekend etc... should be OK. Poilce car pulls up and some dyke leans out and says hello - i say hello back and they drive on, i just thought she was being polite, 1 minute later come out of the threshers and there doing me. I ask why she didnt tell me to move on she said she did - JOKE - i said no you said hello and i said hello back, at which pooint she shuts up. Then i point out that somones parked completely on the pavement and why is she not doing them as well, she said theres nothing wrong with that, WHAT? at which point im going to loose my temper and just sit in the car and ignore them - revenue raisers. Only 60 quid in total but thats not the point it was the style of policing.
