I had an early 2.5L for about 18 months with no major issues before selling about 12 months ago. I'm thinking of buying another one but for pretty heavy track usage.(Maybe 20-30 track days per year)Have any of you boys used your Nobles heavily on track and with what consequences? What Can I expect to go wrong? Will it be an expensive job to keep it going?

Of course I appreciate I will go thru tyres and brake pads but are there any mechanical issues? ie. engine or suspension wise?

I currently have an EVO6 which has done 35-40 track days and frankly is absolutely bomb proof!(aside from brake disks!)but I would like a Noble if its going to be up to the job.

This could be a contentious topic.

My take would be that its not an ideal choice if you want to do that much track work. Frankly if you are doing 20 track days, why not get some kind of cheap+quick track specialised car?

SR3 Turbo looks like fun in EVO

It lapped 2 secs quicker that the in-house JP1 single seaters at the Autodrome

A car like that is no use on a track day either. If you are that much quicker than the rest of the traffic whats the point?

Its nice to be in the same ballpark as everyone else so that you can get a feel for your skill relative to everyone else. You don't even have to be good to cane everyone in an SR3, let alone the turbo.

Yep - if you spend the entire day waiting for people to move over you can't reach either your own or the cars limits.

Hmmm, i can see your point, BUT i still get a rush from scaring the crap out of myself, so lunatic speed on a track will always have it's place IMO
