It's not going to fall to bits is it ?

I'm almost shot of my Tuscan and need my next toy.
I really need to know if the M12 GTO-3R is going to give me endless amounts of grief and re-visits back to the dealer to put right.
Do the cosmetics stay on ?
Are the mechanics sounds ?
Any info at all greatly appreciated.
Please make me feel good before I spend £54K !

If your getting rid of the Tuscan because of reliability issues then i wouldn't say that an M12 was an ideal candidate as it suffers the same problems as any hand built car.
I love my Noble like life itself but it's been an "interesting" 2 odd years of ownership!
I'll be buying another one again soon however, so make of that what you will.....the driving experience makes all the agro worthwhile

DanH said:Very fair. The M12 can be quite expensive to keep running on a track if you take exceptional TLC of it as most of us do - 8l of oil every few track days isn't the cheapest of things!
I think an important question would be 'do you intend to track it'?
They seem reasonably robust for the road (although early adopters went through more pain inevitably). As a track car they seem to be quite expensive though.
However, for the road they seem pretty well screwed together. I've not heard of any trim issues, and us early adopters (car number 26 for me) went through the pain barrier in terms of mechanical issues.
Even given the history, like Stuh, I've got my next Noble on order and can't imagine being without it.
[P.S. They are an absolute blast on track though!]
lucozade, just read your situation with the Tuscan. Ouch!
Don't think I've ever heard of a Noble as bad as that. Certainly not one that they never manage to fix. Of course it helps that there aren't a load of too clever by half sensors that don't work! (but would be very cool if they did).
Well too late for all this chat.
Had my test drive today and immediately put a deposit on a new Indigo Blue M12 GTO 3R.
The drive was just awesome. I did like what the Tuscan could do but the Noble just seems far superior in every way. The build quality certainly feels better.
As for the drive I'm still shaking with excitement some hours afterwards !
Hopefully get it this week, very happy

Lucozade,
I've just read your thread about rejecting(the whole 5 pages). Have a look, and the offer still stands, if it's not too far out the way I'll pick you up in the morning. Martin.

Thanks for the offer Martin, very kind. I was out test driving on Saturday so I missed the reply.
Hope you had a good day.

Good choice that man - particularly on the colour
classy colour. I was lucky. Kerridges had a few Nobles when I bought mine, all different colours. <Little Britain Mode>Which colour do you like? That one.</Little Britain Mode>
Can't say I like the factory M400 colour BTW.
Cheers

Viper Steel?...it looked OK in the flesh.(but still boring parked next to mine )
Dunno what it's called. The one they had at Goodwood and Pistonfest. Blue(ish). I can't believe how many times our colour has caught my eye in the last few weeks. One day it won't be a Rover I've seen!
Any track days going on in Spain? Always fancied turning right not left at the bottom of France.
Cheers
Phil
