I have a horrible feeling all this talk of Nobles is going to cost me a lot of money. I have already looked at what my boxster is worth, today I am going to find out how much is left on my loan if I settle early.

Stop it I tell you, especially if you talk of a nice blue one for about £35K. Oh, and three litres would be nice!

Maybe Prefer my blues a little darker, the azure looks nice. It looks quite a good buy at first glance. Would like to know a bit more about the damage though!

Edited once I knew the right name for the blue!

I have some pics of the car i took at the salvage yard last year if you want to mail me for them. I'm assuming it's the same HR Owen demonstrator.....

That would be really helpful. If you don't mind, mail me through the profile.

I've been doing some digging on a few models...for when I'm ready (ie sold the alfa)...

I have lined up a sorted non tracked 2.5 for 30k (with ECU upgrade and factory serviced),
a similarly sorted and non-tracked 5 speed 3k mile 3.0 for 37.5k (in Indigo blue i might add...joust's colour, and quite perfect me thinks)
or a 6m old 3r for 44.5k

couldn't possibly reveal my sources mind...you might just beat me to my prize!

suffice to say that among disgruntled former dealers and private owners there are a few bargains to be had...I think it could only get better too as nobility upgrade to M400/M14s...residual maintenance seems to stop the current sales centres from offering similar money...but you might take some (tad expensive) piece of mind from approaching the MVs of this world.

Happy hunting!

Seems like of the 200+ Nobles in the wild, around 199 are "non-tracked"

I know what you're getting at...and agree...but one can do a little bit of investigation and inspection to ensure...knowing noble factory people, who know the owners also helps!

Funny how people seem to think a "tracked" car is worth less. I've never understood that, given that a tracked car that has good maintainance history is more likly to have all the foibles found and the major stressed components replaced.

Just a perception thing I suppose....?

Well that and the fact that the things that are on the way out, but haven't gone yet may have had more wear. Also paintwork/alloys may be damaged from gravel traps etc.

Really it depends on the car though. I know some guys who thrash the nuts off their cars on track and I wouldn't go near. Others look after them properly and its not a big deal.

Problem with non tracked cars is that they won't normally have the sump upgrade...

I have to disagree with that one Dan. A lot of people have only opyed for the TDS for ease of resale. Martin.

When selling my Lotus 340R to finance the Noble, my track day upgrades counted for nothing!.

I had a 190 BHP upgrade, UCR Gear Conversion, Sports Clutch, Tit Exhaust etc but never tracked the car like it was intended for. (Spent about £6k on them) .

Standad 340R's were for sale about £1k below mine but no-one seemed to want a track prepared car that had not been tracked.

Strange...........

Just speaking from experience as I'm actively looking at the moment. Just look at the adds on pistonheads.

Then again most of them are earlier cars.

I still can't get a handle on prices though, they are all over the shop. One chap selling a delivery miles GTO3 for 42k now. What would that be new? I see 1 year old 3s for 39.995 there too without the LSD etc!
