Climbing the walls - the factory confirmed today that my M400 will be ready next Wednesday Few days earlier than expected so well done again boys

Should be the first private car after Mole Valley who are getting a demo in the next few days - all I can say is don't book a test drive without considering the consequeces - the upgrade from the 2.5 or 3R is inevitable - I've had both and the M400 is another step forward by Lee.

It'll be metallic "Viper Steel" - was planning on the silver, but when I saw this new colour couldn't resist! Found first images of this colour earlier in the forum so thanks for these!!

Just booked the first few track days - Brands with Easytrack on 5th August and Bedford with SELOC on August 31st bank holiday. Anyone else going to these?

The run-in is going to be frustrating, but hopefully this'll be done within a couple of weeks then its full speed ahead... Full report will follow!!!

Scott.

Scott,
I was at the factory today and saw your car come in from it's final shakedown. Nice colour, mate! Martin.
PS - I think this one might be yours.

Yup seen the Mole Valleys M400 Demo car... in Red - very soft seats compared to mine! Driving position does not feel that different but I have not driven it so maybe it is different.

I'm just waiting for the factory to release the long awaited 'Track pack' I was advised that the 3L engine was considerably better than the 2.5L so I had my engine changed - now there is an upgrade for the 2.5L to make it almost as powerful as the 3L - Seems I wasted a hell of a lot of money getting the 3L....

I see you're in Oxford, only down the road these days from n'pton, we'll have to meet up for a blast. (mind you i'll need a tow rope on the back of the M400 to keep up!!)

Mole,

So have you worked out any fantastic M400 upgrade offers for us lowly 3R owners yet???

Thanks for pointing out the photos - right colour, wrong car - mine was on the build ramp in the far right hand corner in one of the photos.

I had 2 test drives of the M400, one last year (Lee's prototype), one just before the reviews hit the mags (in the press car). Like I said, once you've tried it it'll be hard to resist writing the cheque. I had Lee and Simon show me what it can do - it really was some experience, I was grinning for a week afterwards.

I thought I'd be able to upgrade my 3R to M400 spec - turns out they've done so much to the M400 it isn't economical to think about the upgrades. And you're unlikely to get it back when you come to sell, so I went for the full M400 experience - dumping the dealers and reducing the list price just convinced me as I always go to the factory for everything. Personally I think the M400 is a comparative steal.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but no amount of grovelling will get you an upgrade from a 3R to an M400 anytime soon (think 18 months minimum). I tried... really hard... The factory really do want to want to protect the idea they have distinct models - and I now want them to protect this too...

Photos will be up as soon as I get back in from putting the 1000 miles on it - I see a trip to Scotland coming up soon. Got to get it run-in and serviced by early August for its first serious outing.

Scott.

I can understand that. That said, the chances of me having only 352horses for the duration in my 3R are about zero.

Don't see how you could economically upgrade to M400 spec anyway. Haven't they modified the centre tunnel, the steering rack (or at least moved some endstops), changed suspension mount points etc. etc.

Sorry, when I said upgrade, I meant a nice trade in of say £49K for my 3R and a huge discount on a new M400!

Must go...there's a pig flying down Fleet High Street!!!

When I was asking about deals for trade-ins at the Noble stand at the NEC, Mole said they would be happy to help design and place (not sure where) an ad for a private sale for people wishing to sell a 3/3R to 'upgrade'. You'd expect to get a better price for a private sale than via a trade-in, and MV say they'd help with the sale becuase it would help you buy a new car and would lead to 'another Noble owner' in the system.

Scott,
Don't forget to post a lengthy first day appraisal of your M400 tomorrow. I'm setting time aside in my diary right now.
