Can anyone remind me of the tank size and what's your average mileage per tank (down to quarter level - so threequarters of a tank)) please?! I should know but never take any notice! :-)

Am going to Brands Hatch tomorrow so am trying not to arrive with too full a tank of Optimax!

The whole tank is around 60 litres. when mine is showing '0' it usually still has about 1/3 (20 litres) left. 40 litres = approx. 8 gallons I run approx 20 miles per gallon so 8 X 20 = 160 miles. This is very pesamistic! you should get 200 miles easily. Then you will still have 4 gallons in reserve!

Reading my Noble handbook, it states not to run the car if possible below 1/4 full.

I take it that this is for fuel starvation is it?

Yes, it is possible that tight cornering could starve the engine of fuel.

I'm going about 120m between fill ups.

Thanks, I never let mine go much below a quarter so will plan on around 200 miles between fillups.

The GTO 3R engine is mapped to run on standard unleaded - you don't need Optimax or Super.

The handbook is incorrect.

I know Marlon and I always use regular unleaded but apparently Optimax give a little more performance so I am filling up with that for the track!

Fair enough - every little bit helps. Just make sure you lay off the pies and beer this evening as well!
