Collected our 3R from Coventry last weekend and drove it back home to Scotland. What a thrill. Have an appointment at the docs next week to have the grin removed from my face as it seems to be permanent. Is this normal ?

The board has been a great source of info over the last few months and played a big part in us coming to the decision to get one - thanks people !

Once its run in hope to see the Glasgow and Aberdeen owners for a bit of banter at Knockhill. Glad to be part of the exciting Nobility lifestyle........Stv

You can have as much surgery as you like, but they'll never wipe the twin turbocharged grin from your face !!!!!

Hi Stv,

Catch ya soon,

JAZ34.

I'm just West of Edinburgh. I'm also booked in to MV's for the first service. We go in on Monday. I read in the earlier post of your journey back north. We had the same experience - first drive in the beast - doing over 300 miles what a hoot it was. We'll meet sometime no doubt !

Fast growing Scottish faction here! Was at Knockhill this week with gearchange much improved - dry night for a change and starting to push on faster now!

My next definite outing there is Subaru Club morning Sat 24 July.

Stv,

The earliest I got in at MV Turbo's was 19th July. Lucky I am working away from home and the miles will be low!

The factory recommended MV Turbo's as they are an approved sevice centre by Noble. I called John at MV last week and he seems pretty switched on. Will be interested to know how the service goes and what they find etc. John mentioned that sometimes the factory calls him for advice. Not sure if John Clark's in Dundee are still servicing Nobles.

Keep us informed!

Brian,

Should start an offshoot of the Noble owners here in Scotland. Was your car at MV lately? John mentioned that he has done plenty of work on a car that is tracked regularly.

No, haven't tried MV yet as John Clark were giving me such prompt attention at short notice, altho' for warranty work. MV maintain a Portofino Blue that I met on track this week. They also prepare at least one successful (non-Noble) race car.

Factory have not formally advised me of change of service agent.

Brian.

Who is the "MV" you are referring to here?!

Brian - tried to get ours into Clarkes for a service but they would'nt do it as the car was'nt bought from them. So contacted Noble and they advised MVs as its now their official service centre in Scotland. The other half is winging her way there just now as its booked in for its first sevice this morning.

MVs is MV Turbos - a tuning place just outside Dunfermline.

Aha...

The southern sales centre is Mole Valley (referred to as "MV" here). To avoid confusion, could I suggest that you rename yours (maybe "MVT") - as "our" MV was here first!!! That would be Proper Bo of you! :-)

When I see your posts saying that you go to MV I wonder why you'd want an X,000 mile round-trip - but then I remembered what its like to drive an M12!!!

Cheers!

Stv,

Mind and let me know how you get on at MVT and if they find anything interesting.

I thought that John Clark's would honour servicing of Nobles even if you didn't buy the car here. At least that's what I was told.

Clarkes were'nt interested in doing the service and gave us the Noble phone number instead. Probably a bit of luck on our part as Dunfermline is a tad closer and John of MVT has a great reputation. Certainly handled our first service with respect given the car was delivered to them this morning by a female driver. My good wife has had some negativity in the past when she went to a certain Lotus facility with our old Exige.

Anyhow After a couple of hours, bill received for 90 bucks for consumables and only issue was with a loose exhaust baffle which is to be replaced under warranty.

Guys - When up to temperature - what should we be ticking over at. We are up around 900......Thanks !

On the other hand if you mean revs at idle, 800 is normal.
