After an agonising wait, we picked up our car from Mole Valley on Wednesday - and it's not Titanium Silver.

My parents are absolutely thrilled with it - the car attracts so much attention. The running in process isn’t half as frustrating as I thought it might be. There’s still so much power that drivability doesn’t suffer in the slightest.

Our car has the 6-speed gearbox, LSD, starter button, colour coded rear wing, and alcantara seats (never have liked leather much).

The best part is that my parents don’t even bother looking for excuses to take it out now (e.g. I need petrol/I just want to make sure it can clear those speed humps etc.) they just take it out (and I have no complaints about being the passenger.

Here are some pics:

If anyone can suggest a way to prise the keys from their firm grasp so that I can have a go then I'm eagerly awaiting your reply.

Laurence

So is it your car or theirs? I'm confused. Also is it new?

Looks very nice!

Laurence,

I saw the car at Mole Valley the other day. Very very nice. Congratulations.

As to the keys, you might try drugging them!

It’s Azure blue, one of the standard metallic Noble colours.

It's their car. Mines the worlds dirtiest Clio 172 parked next door in one of the pictures.

It is brand new ('04 plate).

A good idea, I'll have a look into 'the blackmarket' and see what's available. LOL

Very nice colour

Azure blue, isnt that the Elise colour?

I think this is the option I chose when playing on the Noble website.

Did they prefer the 3 to the 3R then? Not really looked too closely at new prices, but I had the impression that upgrading a 3 to have 6 speed, lsd, aircon & etc. pushed it over the cost of a 3R?

So did you convince your parents to get it, or did they find their way to Noble by themselves? Can't imagine my parents getting one lol.

So, you sit in the back, I presume?

Looks lovely mate As soon as I prise mine back off Mole Valley we'll have to meet up.

There are "two" Azure blue's - Nobles (which is actually "Viper Blue" from memory), and Lotus's. They are subtly different - but both are very nice.

I'm not sure how the pricing went in the end, but we didn't pay more than what a 3R would cost I'm sure. (We did get air-con fitted too but i forgot to mention it.)

Both myself and my brother were the ones who brought the Noble to our parent's attention. We went to MV to have a look over a year ago with no intention of buying whatsoever. Once we got home we pressured them a little into going again. We then made a return visit with my dad, and without even sitting in the car he said, "We're having one!" The rest, as they say, is history

I have set the doors to lock upon ignition with the alarm settings, but does anyone know how to lock the doors whilst the engine is running?

Say for exmaple the doors lock upon ignition, and down the road I jump out, leaving my mum to drive on her own. The passenger door would be unlocked, right?

Is it just a case of pressing the alarm button? Does the alarm know to only engage the central locking and not the alarm/immobilisor as the engine is running?

That's right it was right next to it in the showroom.

Yep - just press the alarm button twice to re-lock both doors.

Never understood Noble's numbering sequence - as I have had GTO3 202 for 4 months, I can confirm I chose exactly same spec and colour - what good taste! Like you, I prefer not to have leather and total cost was certainly less than 3R.
