GFOS: Noble
M14 and M400 both on display at this weekend's festival
The all-new Noble M14 will be taking pride of place on Autocar's stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which runs from the 25-27th June.
The 190mph GT, due to be launched in early 2005, will form part of a static display directly opposite Goodwood house.
Also present will be Noble Automotive's breathtaking M400, which will be taking part in the Supercar Demonstration, held on each day of the Festival. The car, which will be driven by Land Speed Record holder, Andy Green and top journalist and racing driver, Tony Dron. It promises to be amongst the quickest cars up the course.
When not on track, the M400 will be found in the Sunday Times Supercar Car Park, where Noble's press officer, Simon Hucknall will be present to answer your questions.

I drove on Friday, Andy Green drove on Saturday and Tony Dron did the honours yesterday. Tony and Andy loved the M400, both commenting on how astonishingly good the brakes were and how well-balanced it felt going through those tricky bends.
We all managed to hit between 110-115mph under the sponsors' bridge, and then again across the finish line. Both Tony and I actually got held up by the 612 Scaglietti as we neared the end of our runs. In my case, having the great Jackie Oliver in a Ford GT behind me made sure that I kept the Noble nailed to the top of the hill.
Overall, a great event for Noble, which put us on the map once again!

First off all the cars whizzed up the hill, then as the BMW C2 (i think) came past me on the way down someone's wheel came bounding past, missing 2 or 3 more cars by inches before finally coming to rest in the hay ... now that would have been expensive.
Any idea what it came off Simon?

The afternoon run on Friday was very amusing.

That V6 pug. Sounded nice, just didn't work too well.
On Saturday the T350C hogged the cameras, with all its sudden braking, wheelspinning and fishtailing action. The Noble running behind hardly featured (unfortunately I was not by the track at the time but was near a screen).
Do you need any drivers for next year Micknall? I am sure there will be no lack of volunteers!
And the scrape? That was me trying to fit into a tiny space in the hotel garage later that night. Bear in mind that if you have an M400, you can't see the bloody pods from the door mirrors, and other than the mirrors themselves, they're the widest part of the car. Once bitten, twice shy....
Just my personal opinion, here, but who thought that the guy driving the TVRs on Sat and Sun sent all the wrong messages about the car's handling? Certainly not a swipe at TVR (their cars looked impressive), just the way in which their cars were demonstrated.

Is he waving to the crowd or for help? 'Help, I'm trapped in this spinny round and round thing and it just won't stop!'

Actually didn't bother me about the TVR as its a bit of a loony car. I was much more disappointed to see all the burn outs and donuts by the F1 cars. Seemed beneath them if you see what I mean.
I guess theres not much else to do with them though as the impressive thing is hearing them revved hard and moving fast, and if you do that without wheelspin you've got a 200mph object separated by some bales of hay from a load of flesh bags...
I think I may be going back through puberty now. I hated the sagaris at first, but now its been toned down a tad I really like it!

Yeah I thought that last year but you're right, what else can they do? This impressed me though. Nice seeing smole coming off the front and back tyres.
