At Donington - your Noble looks lovely, hope you enjoyed the evening.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to realise you're a fellow PHer and I didn't come over and say hello. Oh well, that's us sociopaths for you.

Hi Jeremy - also didn't realise there was a fellow PHer there! Didn't see any other Nobles -what were you driving?? What a great evening - dry track, open pit lane and only 20 cars. First time out for the Noble (usually I'm in a black Elise S160), so was really just a Sunday afternoon stroll to get the feel of the car on track. Very impressive but clearly the set-up is for road use (not surprisingly) where it is hughly competant. Being v picky. I would say that for track use the steering and brakes are over-servoed (at least for my taste), and springs and dampers were just a tad too soft for smooth fast tarmac (great for knarly old B-roads). Diving down Craners and through Old Hairpin you can really feel the weight of the car shift (although in fairness tyres remained very firmly planted). Might consider different rubber though...
Given that a half competent driver can get a standard 3R round Bedford West circuit 0.8sec faster than a 911 GT3 (EVO Dec 03), I think I just need more practice!

I was in the yellow Caterham SLR (below) and had a ball. As you say, pretty much a perfect track day with excellent standards of driving.

Aah yes - remember it well; going very nicely too. Also had my first drive in one of the BaTmobiles which I hired for my son. What a hoot they are! Very engaging and terrific fun (apart from dead battery which required bump start each time). Noble , Elise and a Caterham? Hmm... maybe not.
