Many previous threads will illuminate, but IMHO Tesco usually comes out best....

Anyone know the model of the immobilizer? Tesco is asking for this before they will quote me.

To be honest I'm expecting to laugh when they tell me given they quoted me 2000 quid for an Elise 2 years ago.

Many thanks Stuart.

Tesco seem to be a bit of a joke. First their system was down for an hour. Now its updating for half an hour...

bah!

Hmm Tesco won't cover me as I can't provide 2 years no claims discount. So presumably stacking a Noble is a very bad idea in terms of insurance as Tesco will then refuse cover!

Privilege were pretty good for me - £1550. Am 28 with 10yrs NCB. I was suprised to find it £100 cheaper than my S4.

I'm with Tesco, all 2000 odd squiddly. They made me pop a tracker in, but other than that they were pretty sensible considering my tender 25 years.

My Tesco renewal has just come through today, for a GTO3, and its £619.50 plus £106.05 for NCD protection, plus £17.85 'motor legal protection' plus £12.60 for a temporary replacement car (how can it be replaced other than with another Noble?).

Total £756.00

Cheapest by far. I do have full NCD though.

DirectLine oddly. £650 with protected NCB. Oh needs a Tracker though, but then I don't know anyone that wouldn't.

My take on it is why do you need a tracker on a new car when, in a total loss situation (which is likley with a new M12 - it'll be is Saudi by tea-time or in pieces!), the insurers are bound to replace the car like-for-like?!
