Evening folks,
Just like to give a quick mention to SWLC and thank them for some quality customer service.
A simple mistake resulted in the wrong part being delivered but this was rectified by James @ SWLC without any quibble or fuss.
I don't know about the rest of you but it seems that nowadays sorting out a simple mistake can often turn into a protracted affair so it was refreshing to deal with someone who simply acknowledged the mistake and did everything to put it right.
The replacement cooling fan arrived first thing Sat AM and was fitted in between FP3 and the quali starting.
Once again thanks to James and the nice people @ SWLC.

Mine burnt out, make sure you rewire them to have separate fuses in case it happens again. Mine was wired so that when one fan went, it took the other with it (one big fuse)!
I'm not sure when the fan failed so it may have been dead for some time. When I checked it with a meter the resistance varied from about 100ohms to about 500ohms when I rotated the fan.Mine burnt out, make sure you rewire them to have separate fuses in case it happens again. Mine was wired so that when one fan went, it took the other with it (one big fuse)!
Can't understand why one fan failing should cause the other to go. In cooling mode the fans run in parallel but when used as part of the aircon they're connected in series.

Did you just fit in-line fuses close to the fans themselves?
