I've been lurking for a while now but not posted up to now... Just sold my Z4M and am keen to get into a Noble as soon as poss. I'm in the Reading area and sometimes see a silver one cruising around the Shinfield area near where I live, I didn't see any PH badges on it but assumed it was someone off here? Anyway, not knowing much of the history of these cars I wondered if anyone knows anything about any of these:

I think the first one is a member here if I'm not mistaken "siban01"? So that one seems a goodun although not my first choice of colour.

As the car will be tracked regularly I also couldn't tell if the baffled sump was a standard thing on the 3R, is that so? Anyway, hope to be seeing some of you around and to be part of the nobility very soon. Cheers!

The track day sump was not a standard fit and costs a fair amount to source and fit - and it`s essential if you want to take the car on track. I`m sure you can also check out on this forum what issues the cars have and what to look out for when buying.

Cheers BobE. Looks like I'll be checking those above for the properly baffled sump then...

Are any of you regular trackday goers? I was at Bedford a month or so ago in the red Z4M and saw a flame-spitting nob with PH badges on. He got black flagged due to noise though unfortunately! Anyone from here? Was a good part of my inspiration I have to admit biggrin

With the correct scheduled maintenance etc I'm hoping the nob will withstand at least 1 trackday per month. Is this wishful thinking? I'm curious to know apart from the obvious things such as uprating the clutch, regularly reconditioning the gearbox etc what over mods I should look at to beef up my nob for trackdays.

No matey, it is a line item option on my invoice. You had to order one but most did after fear of oil starvation on those long track bends - as I'm sure you know.

Any car will withstand that kind of punishment with regular maintenance. IMHO though that kind of wear and tear is heavy and will equate to 3-4 years sprited regular driving so better stock up on plenty of of ball-joints, pads, discs, etc.

Cheers, obviously the usual perishables give up earlier so that's something I have to be mindful of. It was more cooling I was thinking of as I've read of the issues of temporary power losses due to heat. I know it's a long shot but does anyone know if you can do say for example a 5 lap stint of Silverstone in a boggo 3R (TDS fitted of course) with a few warmers and a few coolers without experiencing anything untoward temps wise? I know lots of factors come into it but just bare with me biggrin

Hi Ben , the car you saw at Bedford was Funky in his 600bhp fire breathing monster !!!!!
To do 1 track a month I would suggest a few upgrades , brakes will need to be in tip top condition , grooved disc and pagid RS29 will be the way to go .
Front mounted engine oil cooler along with bigger intercooler or charge cooler along with fuel pump upgrade , gearbox strengthen and gearbox cooler must also be on the cards .
Plenty of upgrades available on both the carbon front and suspension . Do a search lots of info . Tux

Just trackdays no racing. Curious though, are there single-make racing for Nobs?

No, there was one car racing in the GT cup or Trophy, not sure which, but I would love to see one in Britcar.
