Noble's First M14 Customer

PHer gets first place in the queue

Since debuting onto the world stage at press day last week, orders for the new M14 have exceeded all expectations. Over 30 customers have already placed a deposit and are looking forward to receiving the new model in nine to twelve months.

Stewart Jones, Sales Director at Noble commented, "The show has been phenomenally successful for us on two counts. We have received extremely favourable press coverage whilst here and the number of genuine customers visiting the stand has been really impressive ."

One such happy customer is London based company director Justin Fielder (Joust). He’s at the front of the queue to receive a new M14 having placed an order without even sitting in the car! He pestered the Noble team for news of their new model for weeks. Jones, without revealing anything, told him to look in Auto Car last week for the first released information.

Justin rushed to the newsagents on Tuesday morning to see details of the new model and was on the phone to Jones by 7.30am, this time to place an order.

On being a Noble customer Justin commented, "British design and engineering is really important to me. Noble always support their customers and provide an impeccable service. I’m delighted to be buying the new M14, now I just need to decide what colour to have it in! ’"

Great being first for an M14 but trust the learning period for "design/production faults will be reduced from the earlier M12's.

The experts always say do not take delivery of a new car for the first year it goes on sale. Especially with a small but great company like Noble!

Cannot get to the show this year when will MV get a demonstrator? 6 months or a year?

I wouldnt be able to wait a year!

Plus what I hear from Noble sounds like they would sort out any faults straight away.

How long did you wait/research before buying your Griff? Does your 'Noble' interest mean the Griff is going already?

Justin did say 4 others beat him to the front of the M14 queue...guess it's just a bit of artistic licence.

Personally, I'm very upset.

I was told that *I* was first in the queue, and so was my wife. I demand a full apology from Ted, from Noble, and from the NEC who allowed this to happen in the first place. Oh, and I want *MY* picture on the front page of Piston Heads, standing next to some well-tasty birds in bikinis.

It seems that the other 4 are "factory" cars, and as I will be moving the GTC deposit I *think* that makes me first. Still - first or fifth - who cars

You are NOT the messiah, and you are a very very naughty boy....

[P.S. I think Lee is actually getting the first real one after the factory cars, even I couldn't get in front of him!!!! ]

Im already waiting for a Noble. Dont now how long it will be but heres too hoping its not too long.

The Griff stories are just a joke which I enjoy going along with. It was only 4 months of searching However I was looking for a TVR S3C or Porsche 944S2 for the 6 months prior until my girlfriend helped me change my priorities in life.

I spent a lot of time on both the Noble and Marcos stands and was very very impressed. I was originally thinking of going to Porsche next but I love the attitude of the small volume British sportscar manufacturers.
Alan Wallace was very helpful at Marcos and friendly too. (We even played a trick on my girlfriend, You should have seen her face when I handed Alan my credit card and pretended to sign some paper work! ).

Stewart Jones (?) at Noble was also a bloody good bloke. I love the Nobles and would have any of them. The M14 especially. One of the reasons I bought the Griff was to do a touring holiday in Europe. The Nobles have no luggage space for this but then Stewart showed me the GTC has a boot!

The M14 is the ultimate car to suit exactly what I want. Dynamics, purity, space, relative comfort. The short wheel base is also gonna make it bloody good fun on any road/track. I didnt think it was all possible on one car.

Anyone wanna swap? I'll give you all my cars just for your M14! (Actually, your M12 will be fine!)

Since the show I have been scheming but havent come up with a clever idea at the moment. More shuffling around required maybe. For now though I'll be working harder, now I have a new motivation

Well done to British Sports car manufacturers. I'll be sticking with you for a long long time.

Doesn't that mean you will loose your first 1000 pound deposit on the GTC? MV removed one off someone I know.

Is that true? I know a couple of guys who transferred there £1750 to other Nobles, but I am still in a quandry about whether to confirm my order, and if I decided not to then I think I would have a case for a refund of my deposit off the back of the VERY significant changes Noble has made to the car.

If you look at the bottom of your order form (It may have changed by now)

It says something along the lines of 'we reserve the right to make changes etc. to the spec' however it also said that that after initial payment of the 1000 deposite the price is fixed as written on the form (can't remember the excat amount) anyway the spec changed and the price went up! - make of it what you will but if it says the price is x - the price is x in my boat not x plus y
