Unless I'm going completely mad, I do not have any locking wheel nuts on my car. I've seen the McGuard ones being offered, anyone got any views, and more importantly, know which ones fit.

Also, contemplating some Armourfend just for the front sections most likely. Anyone have an idea of cost and whether it looks ok??

About £300 ish for the front I think. We I played with Kerridges Indigo Blue 3R I couldn't tell it had it on. May be a colour thing?

It's a colour thing. As a broad-brush statement, the darker the car the better (relatively) it will look.

I have it on my Monza red M12 and I'm about to have it removed from the bonnet so that it covers the leading edge upto the Noble badge, then stops, rather than continuing half way up the bonnet (which leaves a very distinct line and two different shades of red!)

It certainly does the trick, but I would be wary of using it again - a front-end respray isn't any more dosh. The full kit is OTT, suggest you look at a car without armourfend and a few thousand miles to see where the chips are.

Thanks, I was probably going to do something similar, from the leading edge of the nose to the Noble badge, plus the leading edge of the front wheel arches which should suffice. Perhaps it won't look so bad on Titanium...then again.

Might think a bit longer on that though. As you say no more expensive to respray.

Have a look at the photo of my 3R on my profile, see if you can spot where the armoufend is placed.

Cheers
Ian.

Hmm nice colour. What is that?

OK I give up, can't see the joins. What do you do with the front splitter? Mine has a few scratches already???

Either that's a trick question, or they did a bloody good job!

No Trick question. Special colour Crystal Topaz. Armourfend fitted to front splitter (leading edge), Lower skirt lip (below Noble badge), lower skirt end caps (between side intake and wheel arch), full side sills including door steps. Total fitted including installation and vat £632.

I also bought some extra to fit myself to the painted sections around the inner wheels arches.

Very happy with the results so far.

Cheers,
Ian.

Ian, Topaz is still looking good, and I couldn't see the joins. Martin.

PS - say hello to Trevor for me.

Paul,
The factory supplied me with a set of locking nuts made by Krooklok.

Given the difficulty of finding alternative wheels there isn't much they will fit on, however there is always that "nickem and see" factor, but I've never bothered as you also need the "large spanner" to get the centre cover nut off.

The McGard locking nuts are good. You'll probably want the low profile ones to fit behind the dust cap.

Not sure what the thread size is though. M12 x 1.5 or 1.75 probably...
