noble only ever go up

there were 4 for sale last week up to 8 now but prices are pretty solid. 24-25k for a highish miles got 3 or even a 2.5 gto. is this the trend or just the summer high?

If only!! What a bargain the black 3r seems to be for £17,999. Will be dropping the price of mine today but it is too good to go that low. They have had a lot of good press lately, and are in car magazines top 50 best buy bargains.

It's damaged repaired listed on the register and it's not a 3R if it's a 2002/02. In fact the earliest I've seen GTO -3's are 2002/52 plates.Not knoking the car, but without confirmation of the damage ( cat C/D etc)and all else, it doesn't particularly make a bargain.

The guy didn't know what Cat it was when I phoned him either... May even be an original 2.5 with a replacement engine somewhere along the line, but again the chap didn't know a lot about the history.

there are only actually 5 for sale on classifieds as one of the others is marked deposit taken another is for a noble breaking and the other is a wanted advert also there is not one m400 for sale either i think the noble cars all models are going to hold price and even go up a bit due to there exclusive pedigree if you compare them to say a tvr of the same the noble actually represents good value in my opinion.

if you walked in with 17k cash you might get it

at 17K its a lot of car for the money, even if it has got a dodgy past

my advice to anyone looking to buy it is - think about long term ownership do you really want to keep a cat C/D

take somebody along who knows a lot about the cars, try and see if corners have been cut repairing it

does it have 6 speed box / lsd or track day sump? if you are looking to keep it you will need to get these done

Hi all,

New here - I was looking at that one and it struck me that it was very similar to a 2.5 that was for sale in Scotland a little while ago.

Dug up the original listing and from the description it must be the same car - down to every detail - except it seems to have grown an extra 500cc now!

They look like the same car to me. The exhaust tips are not the standard shape for example on both cars.

And they both have a "3" badge on the back. Maybe it is a 3 and was wrongly advertised as a 2.5 ? But did noble make the 3 in 2002 ?

I was thinking about buying the black one, I thought it was the one from Scotland and I was right.

Spoke to the Scottish bloke who originally owned it, he was really sound. He said he'd been done swapping it for a knackered M5 to these lads in Birmingham. It's the 2.5 aswell...

Looking on google, the company in Birmingham don't have the best rep...

The thing that put me off was that it was rebuilt by JNM who normally add power to the stock version when rebuilding, so I'd expect maybe 390bhp for a rebuilt 3L, so 350bhp would kind of fit in with my assumption if it was a 2.5L.

The ad says "... Noble motorsport..." which implies it's Noble or teh Noble factory or something when in fact it's John Noble Motorsport. But the average gadgy on the street would not know that of course.

that car is defo a 2.5 as it has red painted cam covers 3litre has hard plastic black cam covers noble motorsport are top guys and know there stuff my old 2.5 had a lot of work done by them and was mapped to a safe 398 bhp funny enough it is the other black one currently for sale on pistonheads which is a sorted car if it was me i would spend the extra and buy that one rather than a damaged repaired one as if you ever decide to sell it will be easier to move on also how badly was it damaged chassis? and was it repaired properly if it was just cat d light panel damage it would not need to be vic checked so this implies it may have been a lot of damage!!

Yeah I thought I'd imagined that black one down South as it was so close in background to the one in Birmingham. Had to double-check they were different by comparing the wheels.

So the one in Brum is probably Cat C, not a 3 litre and I don't believe has the LSD fitted. Not such a bargain after all...

I believe JNM built almost all the engines for Noble, upto M400 at least.

thats the way i understood it jnm did the engine work for noble when they were being produced i have always used them and found them top draw
