FYI. On friday I recieved the cost of registering my new 3r in Ireland. We have some political thievery operation going on in Ireland.

On top of my 55k sterling I paid for my 3R on registering it on Irish plates (which is obligitory) I have to hand the government a whopping Euro 30,125 (£20,197 Sterling) which will bring my total cost to over £75,000 sterling to own and drive Irelands first Noble.

Count your luck stars all my fellow UK Noblers.

But guess what "Hurts, but worth every penny"

Alan, wouldn't it have been possible for you to have registered the car in the UK, and keep it here, but then 'temporary import' it a couple of times a year for 6 months into Ireland?!

Shouldn't you be able to reclaim the UK VAT???...certainly when I brought my 156 into the UK I only paid the net cost in the Netherlands and then the VAT in the UK...could you not have done the same thing?
