Interesting Info - Porsche Carrera GT

I was looking at the Porsche web site and discovered that the GTO-3R has very similar performance characteristics as the Carrera GT. The 3R is slightly smaller and of course it is 1/5 the price.

I've have thought the Noble could just keep with it up to maybe 80 at which point the Carrera GT will show why it costs 5 times more and bugger off into the distance.

You should look at this months Evo magazine, there is a very good article on the Carrera GT where, Rowan Atkinson drives it at Goodwood using a Mclaren F1 as a benchmark.
As capable as the Noble is I personally do not see it as a rival to the Carrera GT.

Carrera GT is on next weeks top gear (30th). Interesting to see how it's lap time bears up to the top-of-the-board SLR. In every magazine article I've read the GT wins.

Anyway, while I'm here I thought Top Gear said they weren't going to put track cars on the leaderboard. That's why the Atom, Radical and others got taken off the board. So why last night did 2 obvious track cars go up on the table ??!!!!!

Simon, think your views on the current "hot" thread would be appreciated...just what is the story on the dealers? and how will this impact future owners who have already placed deposits through the dealers? Morten
